Welcome to the home of the SYLT Lyrics Plugin for Winamp

Description

The goal of this software is to write lyrics directly in mp3, in a fully compliant id3v2 frame called SYLT (Synchonized LYrics or Text). With this plugin, you will be able to paste, import or translate the lyrics from anther format (.lrc, .txt or Lyrics3). You'll also synchronize the lyrics with the song to create something similar to a karaoke. The lyrics saved in a SYLT frame are fully compatible with emphatic, the multi-purpose empeg player add-in from Tony Cebzanov.

Usual warnings: This is "experimental" software. It's still in heavy developpement and it may: crash, hang and even damage the mp3 files. This software does have a "backup" feature (it copies the whole mp3 to another filename before saving to it), which I recommend you enable. I personally feel comfortable to turn it off, but don't complain if it ruins everything.

About Me

I programmed this with Visual Basic 6. It took about 400 hours to do what you see now. I have a full time job so I can't use as much time as I'd like to improve this software. This means that developpement won't be fast. If you have suggestions, I'd be glad to hear from you. Simply email me (remove the 'NOSPAM'). Keep in mind that I do this for my own satisfaction, I don't want it to become a second full-time job.
